This move causes any one single-target directly-damaging attack targeting the user to be reflected back to its source, negating damage to the user. Special and Physical-category non-contact attacks are affected in this manner.

The reflected attack's base power, base accuracy, and type are unchanged. Damage calculation for the reflected attack utilises the attacking Pokémon's current Attack/Special Attack. However, the reflected move utilises the accuracy of the user of this move.

If the attacking Pokémon uses a move that requires physical contact, the damage is simply negated as with Protect, and any effects that activate via miss (such as crash damage) still apply. In a double or triple battle however, the attack will instead target another Pokémon on the attacking side (at random, should the attacking Pokémon be in center position).

This move's duration lasts only until the user is targeted by a single-target attack, and only for that attack. This move cannot be activated by an ally's attack, and will fail if that is the only move to target the user. This move has regular priority, and will only activate for attacks that occur after the user's turn.
